Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc.® is a historically black male fraternal organization rooted in brotherhood, service and fellowship.
Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. ® was founded at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 12, 1962, by fourteen exceptional, young, African American men who wanted to change the way brotherhood is perceived in black communities across the U.S. and abroad.
The District Grooves is the conglomerate of undergraduate and recent graduate Fellowmen in the DC metropolitan area.

This Fellowship transcends mere social connections, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among its members. With a rich history and a commitment to community service, educational advancement, and cultural awareness, the brotherhood in Groove Phi Groove embodies a lifelong commitment to supporting one another in personal and professional endeavors. It is through this supportive network that members find strength, inspiration, and a profound sense of belonging, perpetuating a legacy of excellence and solidarity.
SERVICE
To the Fellowmen of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc., service to the community is more than a commitment—it's a way of life. Our members passionately engage in a variety of initiatives designed to uplift and empower those around us. Through The Groove Fund, we provide scholarships that help students achieve their educational goals and pave the way for future success. Our neighborhood clean-up efforts and dorm move-in assistance programs reflect our dedication to creating welcoming, vibrant spaces. The Groove Leadership Academy (GLA) offers invaluable mentorship, nurturing the next generation of leaders. Additionally, our Groove Feeds America initiative combats hunger, and our annual toy and school supply drives ensure that children have the tools they need for a bright future. Each of these efforts exemplifies our unwavering commitment to making a positive and lasting impact in our communities
