Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. was founded on October 12th, 1962 at Morgan State University. Our aim is to promote academic excellence, develop sound leaders, and serve our communities.
The Washington, DC Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, incorporated on February 23, 1981, is dedicated to serving the communities of the District of Columbia metropolitan area. Our membership includes alumni from University of Pennsylvania, Hampton University, Shaw University and Howard University to name a few, with careers ranging from politics and government to education and consulting.

Our Mission
The mission of Washington, DC Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Incorporated is to create a permanent non-profit membership organization to address the developmental needs of local Fellowmen, associates and benefactors. We want to enable them to be highly effective civic leaders and contributors to community life within the DC metropolitan area.
Our Impact
In pursuit of ensuring that its mission statement is realized, The District of Columbia Graduate Chapter has provided an array of services to its local and extended communities. The Chapter has engaged in programs inclusive of feeding and clothing the underserved and disenfranchised, tutoring and mentoring at-risk youth, advocating against domestic violence, supporting good health initiatives, providing financial assistance to youth programs, and maintaining the environment.
